I want to thank everyone who was on live this morning, for supporting me through my breakthrough at the end of the call. A tender subject came up for me that I wasn’t expecting. I feel grateful for the now and I identified two action steps that have filled me with confidence in knowing there is something I can do to be calm within my storm!
I have noticed that in the goal setting process, storms come at the beginning and at the end. When we are first taking a leap of faith, it seems overwhelming because we don’t know what we don’t know. Then at the end, just before the miracle happens, there is an obstacle that seems impossible to pass through.
What I have also noticed is that God is there through it all. There is always a miracle just around the corner.
Faith holds me through the storm
We often have storms around us, sometimes we are in the midst of them and sometimes we are the storm. One of our live callers told of a goal to be a servant leader. Of course, she is working with people who are devoid of leadership and in chaos. She has plunged herself into the storm! She is finding gratitude within the storm and is leaning on Christ to stay centered and strong, a rock for those she serves to hold onto until they can stand on their own.
Our government seems to have storms on the right and on the left, but we can be calm and at peace in between.
It is fun to watch others as they weather their storms well. It’s probably easier to see it in others than in ourselves. But we all learn and grown from our personal storms.
A gift we could all give ourselves is an amount of time to look at our emotions and our circumstances without judgement or reaction, then consciously choose to hold onto them, or let them pass. A storm comes, stirs things up, waters and cleans the earth and air, and then it passes.
