Acts contains frequent confrontations due to the Apostles gospel ministry. This was characteristic of Jesus’ ministry too. They persist in obeying God rather than men which results in punishment. Yet they rejoice that they would suffer and Jesus would be made much. Knowing Jesus is our King gives us strength to not be concerned with worldly praise.
