Lust is a topic everyone knows churches talk about and get the impression sex is something we ought to avoid, or only for having children. Lust is not about sex itself but about the selfish use of it. For Christians, sex is the culmination of committed love, its fundamentally relational and becomes the ground for a family. Lust only uses others for the benefit of one person and leaves the person more empty than they were before. But Christ gives us a new hope for new desires that we can give and receive love as we ought.
