The mission of the church is as much about doing good as it is about proclaiming the gospel. This is an essential part of the gospel itself. However, caring for those in need is very difficult and there is much wisdom in making sure we attend to both spiritual and physical needs and exercise discernment in getting it to the people who need it most.
