John 5 records another instance of Jesus’ healing someone on the Sabbath which raises the ire of the religious leaders. This leads Jesus to state as the Father is working so is the Son. This raises questions about what work and rest is really about and something we all struggle with in fast paced Silicon Valley. What we need is a better understanding of work and rest and how they are related to God’s redemptive work.
