i did say i was going to finish the re-post of the rebels in 41.khz so here it is, n-joi
my last podcast due to lack of storage, you get nothing for loyaltythese days considering i've been here from practically the beginning! oh well, g'bye
a bit more, dog isnt interested this time - see magic land for better mix of last track
the dog now wants to hear this track - i am nearing the limit of my storage so there will be no more from me very soon
Me and the dog listen to my podcast alot and I know he would like to hear this track as it hasn't appeared on here yet, so I'm postponing the rest of the sofa re-cast to upload this. It's is dedicated to the late great memory of KR who died last year (unless I have been Greatly mis-in-formed in which case soz!) btw, thankyou to DJ Switch for the friend reques, reason I have'nt accepted yet is coz I is just a bit awestruck by your work and I'm so truly honoured don't really know how to take it. one love
hi; i'm now starting to re-cast the original "Rebels" promo's at 44.1khz stereo, just because uploading is alot easier if anyone wants to sample them it should really be done at full bandwidth; this is track one: soundcheck - i will also post these as a folder for download on my 4shared soon...
ok, you havent heard anything for me from a very long time! look at the date of the "onepiece" podcast! but this is just so good i have to share it; so enjoy! XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX :) From: Howard Jones Date: 4 July 2011 21:36:58 BST To: rookeryrooks@gmail.com
Thankyou for your honest comments. Human is one of my fave tracks. The Prisoner is our next project! Hope to see you again soon. best wishes Howard Jones
okay, okay! so an episode of unexpurgated creativity and un-reproducible intellectual property left you dry, dry, dry! This is jus a lil sumfin to keep ya goin. Panic: 12 am eternal one piece, full quality, 44.1 khz that do ya????
This still sounds good, I thought I'd re-cast it as there's some great vocal effects which you might have missed altogether when it was 'cast in lo-fi, shame, the Sofa cd with the final mixes and the John Lennon samples is with the other band member really, who is probably in borstal by now so I wont see that again. Heigh ho. BTW, who heard that Malcolm McClaren died? Bit sad innit, I'm sure alot of his work will live on 'tho, especially seeing as he's still influencing alot of people that don't even realise they're being influenced by him.
for anyone who remembers the crossing or anyone who doesnt this one should have been a hit single
full quality with beatles style channel separtion arrr, if only all musical compositions were as cynical on the ear..... :)
Now my services are all up and running better now I can start re-casting the old material in full quality, (Wrekka stow - lol, if you wanted to bye a sem cooke ebbut where would you go? lol) This is evening falls, reggae remix, in full quality. dont forget Watercolors now available for free download from media fire.... check out www.backtomine.webs.com
This is 1 definitely benefits from full quality sound. the intended effect is lo-fi and a bit ruff so if it sounds badly orchestrated that is just tuff, you are being naieve... (i thought armageddon 2000 might too, but i think the best copy i have is 32kbps mono so i'll probably not bother re-doing it)
hi, im just trying out full quality mp3's now - i have posted this one before as you'll know if youve been listening but this is in full stereo high bandwidth, see if you can notice the difference luv panicXXX btw, for more like this go to http://www.4shared.com/dir/21940498/6ebb70f7/sharing.html
This is a compilation of tracks which I've been restoring starting with matishall FC, the piano is better at the beginning but the rest is alot different to the one on here already. It then seque's into Sapu which also is on here already then seque's into a very up-beat version of SBS System called SBS System (binary)
This track is called mosquito because it's small and very annoying; the drum sample is from a Sting track called str8 2 ur heart from an album called nothing like the sun since you asked!.....
This track is called sharp cuts featuring a sample of Andy Cutting playing the sqwaukbox on Nigel Eaton & Andy Cuttings album Panic at the Cafe, here is a link to it at Tower Records http://www.tower.com/panic-cafe-nigel-eaton-andy-cutting-cd/wapi/106941075 (Shameless sampling!!)
this tune will be familiar to listeners of panic's podcast hopefully, this version grunged up
A gift from the misticool elders of out wrecked, get ma-huang up and pack up your troubles in your old kit bag and..... (respect jew to excitifier [i might use this on some of my grid tracks]) (NOT FOR EXPORT!!!!!)
this is called And Theme has anyone been listening to snivilisation or orbital II recently? what a load of hippie bollox!
This tune (ahem!) is called Running Wrong, it's doing my head in, my head is throbbing, my ears are going to bleed, make it stop!
why this track isn't just called foot I don't know; panic just thought he'd post this before shooting someone in the head at point blank range, any objections? Yes? Have you got a ticket sir? Well FUCK OFF then! now, where were we....
now working on transposing old stuff from caffette, panic has finished this 1 so far. respic 2 sir scoffy on the shore for the sticks
Какво, по дяволите Шибани жанр е това? Дали някой играе това на инструментите или се е bugged записване на някой напускане съобщение за КГБ по полски тоалетната стена? I'm going now before I seriously start to have a nosebleed!
This comes off a ropey old caffette tape, Panic has lost the vinyl (in a game of cards probably) a Nick Cage LP somehow made it's way into the sleeve...? No, it's not that wierd bird with the glasses singing.....
The smurfs meet robert gordon, or worlds beyond limit. a very simple track from panic's library, much respic is due to Wasp. Oh PB4 where is my craic? Interestingly this sounds very good despite being only 32k - pretty lossless -slogan comes from "what are the penguins looking at" btw
This is the last phrasebuk, some good melodic ideas here but a bit too much of an ambitious idea and the rhythms didnt work out obviously.
another what? said the house. another takeaway said the broken kitchen compost bin, why don't you drown yourself you non-existent aeroplane said the house then you wouldnt have a broken kitchen compost bin said the broken kitchen compost bin I know said the house, doo bee fucking dooo really, what is the point of this? answers on a flippin postcard. Heinz Supreme Being it's supreme being with dot dot dot Issues!
Kewt, fwuffy, buff, lush, gawwjuss, yummy, there isn't much else you can say about this track that isn't Heretical!!!!
I prefer a manual shift classic euro house floorfilla, they don't make 'em like that anymore....
This is the perfect trak to listen to when your doing other things than being killed by a machine (WHAT!!!!!!!!!)
Restoring these LP tracks is really difficult, especially when you've got at least 51% headroom on the signal so the dynamic processors don't know what to deal with, RMS helps but it doesn't work just on it's own,you have to interpolate the worst bits first then use profiled filters to remove extraneous noise and be very carefull not to degrade the signal, EQ pass for prescence, max RMS then general de-noise and enhance leaving just enough ambience to hold it together. Phew!
This is The Ambient Suite comprising of (2 beige sofa's and an ottoman)(erm .. no) 1. Yid (of noise) 2. Egyptian Reggae (or in a persian market - not sure which, or both)(including Rumors of my De-briefing have been greatly eggagerrated) and 3. Moorish (fall into space in a tram) It would be quaint if it wasnt so damn TeePee Mckenna...
This is The abarat, adapted from a "traditional" indian tune as used in peter brook's adaptation of the mahabaratha which could bore you to tears just a little bit. you are welcome to remix this - note the quotation marks, may not be a traditional tune but only one composed to sound like one, I pinched this off RWMC9 [which I pinched from my dance teacher at college, lol!]. I've been hearing quality things about progressive techno and soma label but I'd take that with a pinch of salt personally as the general ethic would seem to be, if you can do it then you should do it. New things which strike me as worth paying attention to are combinations between reich and warp, definitely going to hit the spot. Clive Barker's abarat is a great series, I especially like the bit in the bathroom with the sex change (what do you mean, that's not in the dvd?)
The thoughlessness of other people's care's and lives...... Don't forget to check out 12am part's 1-3
the bass drum at 1:24 is one semi-tone sharp, shall I call the producer? It is giving me a headache after two minutes - is that normal? duh - - rabbitz caught in headlights! People! yknow, why bother!?
This is an old tune called Mattishall FC, it's not a very good master - very ropey - i'll have to re-do it soon, but this'll do for now....shame about the intro sounding de-tuned.
This is a current affairs track again, Panic thinks it is by Time Out magazine (which sounds like a pretty silly bandname!) Something different which you mightlike to hear - panic somewhere on the production end (again) Oh! I've just remembered this 'cast is a bout current affairs so you want to know what news story it is about there was a funeral the other day for someone and their are new (old) [CRAP!]funny games going on at playshools, thats all the drift of it is at the moment.... this 'cast could also be the skye boat song volume three because ofthe subject
Here's wishing a happy summer and kicking festival season to all gearing up for it. (p.s. please donate, if self publishing really is the future of music then you all need to show it, there's no point me giving you things for free that you cant get anywhere else if I'm not expecting you to pay for it is there?)
An all time classic !Choon! to yet further clog up your iPod with luv from Panic XX
real2read.net
Panic was wondering "what's it all about" when it suddenly dawned in one blinding flash, "Why Bother?" ! !!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is the last one from Kurb (sob!) for now. From panic's one and only "engineer's" copy. This is called Only Friend, I think.
Here's another one from Kurb, from panic's "engineer's" one and only copy, called "He's Dead" I think.
This is another one by Kurb, from panic's "enginner's" one and only copy, there were two versions of this, one was phatter and I think that ended up on the demo, this is the other one. It's called No More I think, or Nevermore as we say in Poe country, that's just reminded me of some blurb I have to add to the last track description.
This is essentially a soundcheck - is there a track in my archives called soundcheck? anyway. Virtual Mic presents The House of the Rising Sun. I don't know the last time this was current affairs but bored british people in a country called Ireland are doing something called "trouble". This podcast is obviously not a box of chocolates so what relevance this has is quite mysterious but there it is.Watch Stephen Kings Rose Red. Listen to The Orb's techno remix of Hotel California, if you haven't heard it you need to be shot!
This is also from Kurbwar Kings, panic's engineer's one and only copy, but it's Westfalia Vs Tiny Ting, Magic Land (2shot2move). Nothing to do with Kurb but it was on this disk. Respik due to More Protein.
Moar Kurb, this again from panic's own engineer's copy but another copy may exist somewhere on a three track demo version.
This is Kurb again, from panic's one and only "engineer's" copy. I think this one's called Break of Dawn.
Right then, this is a change for panic, and a welcome one. This is Kurb playing - I think - Go to Hell - which is direct from panic's one and only "engineer's" copy, so, n-joi!
this is a compilation of bits of tat which I thought I'd post I know I said I was sorry for posting some lo-fi ballshrinking tat in a recent show but I have decided that I really am not! Sorry gents! BTW, this is called DAVID! You can find such gems as Two of Oliver wotsisname songs from LOTR radio 4 play here and nxt yr in gerusalem, and, some Evelyn Glennie impressions, n-joi! xx
This is another exculpatory excercise on my part, blah, FYI, was mastered and finished in the isle of Shetland, has alot to do with mutton and the green stuff, sometimes this is so silly! This is called Rocco.......
My last podcast was truly awful, and I'm feeling bad about it, this is by way of apology, an omage to minimalist sampler based deep house... it is called "Lourdes"
This is probably meant to be called Cuba or something of the genre, anyway, It's the only one I can find at the moment and it's a piece of lo-fi tat about nocturnal emissions. I know, you havern't ever had any nocturnal emissions. Why are you bloody well telling me? It's just some noise my uncle makes in the attic!! Get a life!
This is called Apt Pupil; yep, that is the name of a novel by Stephen King, there is no exstacy the equal of dread.........
This is the Seven Sisters, much beloved of sirius (the dog star) and the noetic sciences and the de-briefing mysticism of scientology (yeah, you wish)! Oh, whatever!!
This is called Pleasure Farm, no prizes for guessing: no, it aint coz I was gettin' down with my winkle pickers on some jungle bunnys face at the time! I shoulda edited it by now but juss couldnt b bovvered.
This is another collaboration with a friend of the female persuasion which may be included in E4's "Nearly Famous" Series 2. Fingers Crossed. Tons of info about the show at: http://www.bebo.com/Nearly-Famous-E4
This is the sort of stuff I really want to be developing for myself. Really, if I had my Druthers (which means reins doesnt it?) I'd do proper stuff like this all the time; but you know how it is, hell is other people and events dear boy, or dear wheelbarrow or snot bucket or whatever it is. A conspiracy of imminencies and loyaltys and opportunities always raises it's ugly wallet even if you were only planning to wipe your bum!!!
This is a cover version of John Lennons (ahem!) song "Stand by Me" To be honest, I know maddonna sometimes uses a vocoder but at least she can sing in tune! I had to tweak the vocal on this for more than several days! Sometimes people just dont know when to admit that they've no talent at all! GRRRRRRR.
This is a track called Bush Meat which is much sought after in cyberspace at present I believe. Don't really know why that is???! Is it b'coz I've never uploaded it before methinks??? He he he. P.S. Don't forget to look back in the archive; there's loads of good stuff in there.
This is a track wot I've produced with a friend of the female persuasion called Messed up and Useless; If I'm lucky it will be featured in the next series of "Nearly Famous" on E4 (or Channel 4 if they get their act together) Check out tons of info on the show at: http://nearlyfamouse4.blogspot.com/
Fingers crossed.
This another new one wot I've not posted before which is called Frot : The vocalist actually thinks it's quite "Good" He he, Yeh, so is MRSA!!!
This is a track wot I'v not posted b4 called Thrombosis wot is about hanging; drawing and quatering or some such carnal nonsence appelated to over evoled apes or something:-{ : Anyway, whatever, hope u like it.
Embrace the tortured musings of a true artist... (if you like that sort of thing!) [sorry about the sound quality - it had to be reduced a great deal for upload...]
The long and winding road - klezma pathos remix - check out the bridge sectio - he he he! lol
god has 4given me for punching a non-indigenous human mammal, so why dont yew? Is it bcoz I is Icelandic? am I bovverred? Look! face - bovvered, face- bovverred? dew yew no yew are about one percent of nuffink? which equals a deciding cher in der house of peckersment or summink? huh? dunno mate? am I bovvered - look - face - bovvered? face, bovvered.........
The inspiration (ahem!) for this track comes from the immortal Marving Gaye. any similarity to princes, living, dead or un-dead is purely annoying! Thanx have got to go out to jk-autowah for invaluable psycoanalysis and palliative care of the slightly odd honky.
special thanx and one love have got to go out to ESP, Minion, CamelPhat and daHornet without whose in-expendable assistance this would not have been possible.
visit www.rebelmatic.info for much more kewlstuff!!! [this bitword has been marked "safe" by wiz diametrics - human resources for responsible people - with love]
