Hour 1:
The Mets lost to the Brewers 9-0 after losing 10-0 the day before. Max Scherzer looked terrible, giving up back to back to back home runs. Gio is concerned that Scherzer is ‘Tom Glavine 2.0’. And Pete Alonso and Francisco Lindor have both disappeared offensively. Is it too early to panic? Boomer is excited the Knicks got the fifth seed and have a better record than the Nets. Jerry is here for his first update and starts with audio from the back to back to back homeruns that Max Scherzer gave up. Buck Showalter said he had pretty good stuff but just made a few bad pitches. The Yankees lost to the Phillies and gave up a couple homeruns. We also talked about the struggles of Aaron Hicks. The Jonas Brothers joined the broadcast to talk about their upcoming concert and they got to call an Anthony Volpe single. Manny Machado was thrown out of a game in the first inning for arguing a pitch clock strikeout. Tony Kemp of the A’s gets a celebratory ice worder bath and he is freezing. Rumors abound that Bill Belichick is shopping Mac Jones. This according to Chris Simms. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about the upcoming 5 Borough Bike Tour that Boomer & Gio are doing. Brandon Tierney has not really raised much money and doesn’t seem very interested in it.
Hour 2:
Aaron Rodgers has still not been traded to the Jets. There are rumors of another team in the mix but Boomer doesn’t think that’s happening. It’s not how business is done in the NFL. Gio got an anonymous letter saying the Niners are in the mix for Aaron Rodgers. Boomer is not an anonymous source and he is telling you what’s happening and there is no other team involved, just the Jets and the Packers. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the Yankees losing to the Phillies. Aaron Boone and Aaron Judge talked about the pitching they faced. The Mets were shutout for the second straight game in Milwaukee. Max Scherzer gave up five runs. The Nets lost to the Timberwolves in Brooklyn. Jerry goes around the NBA from last night. Caitlin Clark was on ESPN and said runners up shouldn’t go to the White House. Tiger Woods talked about the Masters and how he doesn’t know how many more he has left. The Devils beat the Penguins 5-1 in NJ. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about Phil Mickelson and the Masters. Fred Couples called Phil a ‘nut bag’.
Hour 3:
The NCAA Championship was the lowest rated ever, while the women had the highest rated for them. We also talked more about the pitch clock in MLB. Boomer loves it moving along. Jerry returns for an update and has audio from Howie Rose and Max Scherzer’s rough stretch of back to back to back homeruns. Buck Showalter talked about the Mets being shutout for two straight games. The Yankees lost to the Phillies and didn’t even come close to getting anything going until the ninth inning. Jerry went around the NBA including what's been going on with the Mavericks since Kyrie Irving joined the team. Phil Mickelson talked about the reception he’s getting at the Masters. Gio thinks he’s embracing the villain look. The Devils beat the Penguins. Stephen A. Smith was on with Steven Colbert talking about his contract negotiations. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about Brandon Tierney half assing his Five Borough Bike Tour commitment. We also have to make our Masters picks at some point. Hour 4:
Max Scherzer sucked at the end of last year and is off to a bad start so far this year. Gio said he is the face of Steve Cohen’s big money Mets. His last four starts have been terrible according to Boomer. The Mets have been outscored 19-0 in two games in Milwaukee. And Francisco Lindor and Pete Alonso have been invisible as well. Is Max Scherzer just like Tom Glavine? Did we get him too late? Jerry returns for an update but first Brandon Tierney comes into the studio to defend himself. Gio was saying he was half assing his commitment to the bike tour. Max Scherzer and the Mets looked bad against the Brewers again last night. The Yankees lost to the Phillies and gave up a big HR to Kyle Schwarber. The Jonas Brothers were in the booth and had the call for Anthony Volpe’s basehit. Isaiah Thomas was on the All The Smoke podcast and wants Michael Jordan to come on. Charles Oakley told Thomas that MJ has no interest in being his friend.
