We also talked about the Rangers/Devils series and how impressive Akira Schmid has been. People think Boomer needs to get his jersey and put it in the freezer. A caller wants to know if Gerard Gallant’s job is on the line if they lose. A caller tells us Will Levis puts mayonnaise in his coffee and eats bananas with the peel on. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the sounds from last night’s Devils shutout win over the Rangers. Jerry has audio from Sal Licata saying Boomer is a fraud fan for not going to the game. Boomer is being attacked by both Sal and Shaun Morash. Joe Schoen said Wink Martindale is excited about Deonte Banks. The Yankees beat the Rangers but Aaron Judge left with a hip injury. The Mets beat the Nationals 9-8, thus snapping a 4-game losing streak. In the final segment of the hour, we talked about the death of Jerry Springer. Boomer remembers him as a news anchor in Cincinnati. We talked more about the draft and the Jets drafting an edge rusher. You definitely need that in the AFC with all of the top QBs.
