Hour 1:

The Mets beat the Yankees last night so they split the Subway Series. Boomer said both games were very entertaining. Nobody was dogging it in either of these games. The Mets did make a lot of mental mistakes that even Steve Cohen was tweeting about. IKF stole home which seems very exhilarating. Gio wonders who in Mets management loves Daniel Vogelbach so much. He has been out of the lineup for a mental break. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with audio from last night’s Mets win over the Yankees. Brandon Nimmo hit a double in the tenth for the walk off. Nimmo talked right after the game about beating the Yankees and getting over ‘the hump’. Francisco Lindor talked about getting a haircut and then a win. Verlander talked about his first experience with the Subway Series. Gerrit Cole talked about the crowd being into it. Cole also talked about IKF stealing home. Daniel Vogelbach talked about getting a mental break and getting his swing back. Stef Diggs was back at Bills camp and Sean McDermott talked to the press about it. It still feels like something’s going on up there. Jonathan Taylor talked about teams devaluing NFL running backs. Joe Burrow said the best QB in the NFL is Patrick Mahomes. We also talked about Boomer and the Bengals Ring of Honor. We need him in it this year. In the final segment of the hour, Netflix released a trailer for the docuseries ‘Quarterback’ featuring Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins and Marcus Mariota. The ratings for the Stanley Cup Finals was down 43% from last year. The NBA Finals were down a little bit from last year. Boomer talked about the difference between being on cable tv or on network tv.

Hour 2:

Bradley Beal of the Washington Wizards is somebody the Knicks probably would have gone after a few years ago and it would be one of those deals that blows up in their face. Boomer calls him ‘the best guy on a bad team’. Beal to the Knicks doesn’t excite him. What about Zion Williamson for the Knicks? Boomer said ‘no way’ for him to the Knicks. Not interested. Will the Knicks overreact and sign a free agent for big money that’s not worth it? Gio wants Damian Lillard on the Knicks. Jerry returns for an update but first Gio has a 4 mile run coming up in a few weeks. Jerry starts with Nimmo’s game winning hit last night as the Mets beat the Yankees. Nimmo talked about how huge the series is for the city and the fans. Justin Verlander pitched well as did Gerrit Cole. Brian Daboll met the media and they will not be practicing with the Jets this summer since they play each other this year. Chris Russo does not want you comparing Aaron Rodgers to Joe Namath. Stefon Diggs was back at Bills practice and Sean McDermott talked about it. Brooks Koepka was asked about playing nice with the PGA and LIV players. In the final segment of the hour, Boomer asked Chat GPT about the Mets and the Jets. Boomer thought the Subway Series games were very entertaining.

Hour 3:

The U.S. Open gets underway today at the L.A. Country Club and Gio is very interested now that he’s an actual golfer. This is a USGA event and not a PGA event. It’s the one championship Phil Mickelson has not won. Jerry returns for an update but first Boomer went for a massage and didn’t want them to work on his injured shoulder but she actually focused on it instead. Communications error. Jerry starts with the Mets beating the Yankees in the tenth inning on a Brandon Nimmo walk off double. IKF stole home and he talked about how he was able to pull it off. A sports talk host in Tennessee also works as an Uber driver and he was carjacked. Brian Daboll met the media and talked about the time between mini camps. Hour 4:

The Subway Series ended up being very entertaining. A lot of crazy things happened over the 2-game series. IKF stole home last night and it wasn’t even close. Gio is currently emotionally detached from the Mets and is looking at them objectively. Do your favorite sports teams care about you? The individual players. Do they care about the individual fans? Boomer said they do. Jerry returns for his final update of the day and starts with the sounds from last night’s Mets win over the Yankees last night.
