Gio begins the show by reading a review of Peter Schwartz’s solo warmup show. Gio wonders if he’ll have the next facial deformity on the show and explains how he pushed himself too far yesterday. Gio thinks we’re only paying attention to the hapless Mets because there’s nothing else going on. Jerry says things just keep going wrong for the Mets. Gio says that is true but the team put themselves in a position where they have no margin for error. It’s been the same story for weeks and it doesn’t feel like that will change at any point this season. Gio says the Mets are a waste of our time and wonders if everybody else is done with them like he is. Jerry agrees that the Mets are irrelevant.
