Hour 1:

The Mets season is officially over after dealing their closer, David Robertson, to the Marlins. The freaking Marlins. The Marlins are buyers and the Mets are sellers. Unreal. Sean Payton went after Nathaniel Hackett for his job as Head Coach of the Broncos and went after the Jets for winning the offseason. He seemingly predicted the Jets would have a bad season. He is predicting the Jets will have a season like the Broncos did last year. And Joe Burrow went down in practice but it looks like it’s only a strained calf. C-Lo is here for his first update but first Gio has the hiccups. Boomer thinks he needs the Heimlich. C-Lo starts with Pete Alonso talking about the trade of David Robertson. Robertson wanted to be with the Mets so he’s disappointed. Billy Eppler said teams have been calling and they’ve been listening. In a double-header, Shohei Ohtana had a complete game shutout in game 1 and hit 2 HRs in game 2. Rob Saleh reacted to Sean Payton’s comments saying ‘hate away’. He also said ‘there’s a lot of crows peckin’ at our neck’. In the final segment of the hour, the interns seem to just sit and scroll on their phones. Callers tell us Rob Saleh’s crow analogy is an Instagram meme.

Hour 2:

Anna, the intern from the University of Richmond comes in studio as we have questions about the internship program. She doesn’t know who Boomer is but she guessed correctly when we asked her which sport he played. We also took a call about poor officiating in the NFL, MLB and NBA. C-Lo returns for an update but first he talked about going to see Jordan Davis and Dierks Bentley last night. Gio went golfing again yesterday in NJ. C-Lo starts with the Mets beating the Nationals after a 90 minute rain delay. Three more Mets were hit by pitches. Ron Darling said the Mets need to do something in retaliation. David Robertson was traded to the Marlins, meaning the Mets are sellers and the season is over. Boomer said the Yankees are all in and they are going to get a left fielder. Shohei Ohtani threw a complete game shutout in game 1 against the Tigers and hit 2 HRs in game two of the double header. Saquon Barkley had an epiphany and signed his deal with the Giants. In the final segment of the hour, a manatee had high intensity sex with his brother and the brother died.

Hour 3:

Boomer is on vacation next week. Joe Benigno will co-host with Gio Tuesday and Wednesday. Stugotz will host Thursday and Friday. On Monday, Al will co-host 6-9am and Anthony Gallo will co-host 9-10am as Gio owes him one. Boomer & Gio were invited to a listener’s wedding in Sparta, NJ. C-Lo returns for an update but first Boomer & Gio get fan mail that is handwritten and impossible to read. We took many calls from people who think Shaun Morash talks too much on the afternoon show. In the final segment of the hour, PJ calls in. He invited us to his wedding in Sparta, NJ.

Hour 4:

Joe Burrow was injured yesterday but it seems to be a minor calf injury. The backup for the Bengals is Trevor Siemian. We took more calls on people who either love or hate Shaun Morash on the afternoon show. C-Lo is here for his final update and starts with the Mets beating the Nationals but trading David Robertson in the process, so they are sellers. Saquon Barkley talked about the epiphany he had that made him decide to sign with the Giants. Darius Slayton said Daniel Jones was looking good in camp because he already knows the system. Charlotte football coach Biff Poggi fired back at the media and wants to bounce their heads off the pavement. In the final segment of the week, Dalvin Cook was on NFL Network and said odds are pretty high that he will sign with the Jets. Boomer still thinks he’s going to Miami and just using the Jets to get more from the Dolphins.
