Hour 2:

Max Scherzer went on a podcast and explained his comments about needing to meet with the Mets front office. He also raved about Steve Cohen’s vision and how the Mets organization treats its players. This season didn’t go according to plan but Boomer and Jerry agree that Scherzer and Verlander praising the organization will be a positive for other free agents. C-Lo returns for an update and Boomer asks him to recite the Pledge of Allegiance to stick with the theme of “Long Live America”. The Yankees are back in action tonight. Did John Sterling make a little joke about Aaron Boone Wednesday night? The Yankees offense has been much worse than expected. They can’t get a big hit or even just a sac fly when they need one. Catcher Erik Kratz, who caught Deivi Garcia in 2020, trashed the Yankees for their handling of Garcia. Boomer reminds us the one thing we’ll never know is how a player acts behind the scenes. Jerry wonders if Johnny Manziel kind of gave up before he really got started in Cleveland in part because of where he was playing. CLo has clips from Max Scherzer detailing his conversation with Steve Cohen and Billy Eppler. Robert Saleh wants to keep the Jets grounded and the Giants are under the radar. In the final segment of the hour, Jerry wishes good luck to Massapequa Little League tonight and then plays a version of WFAN Immaculate Grid.
