Boomer & Gio are both back this morning and they started with the Mets back and forth win in Philly yesterday afternoon. The Yankees retired Paul O’Neill’s jersey and the fans booed Hal Steinbrenner & Brian Cashman. With everybody in their normal places this morning, Jerry is here for his first update and starts with the Mets beating the Phillies. We have audio of Aaron Boone from Saturday slamming the table. Benintendi hit his first HR as a Yankee. Alek Manoah hit Aaron Judge and they exchanged pleasantries. We hear from Paul O’Neill on his jersey being retired. The Giants won a preseason game last night over the Bengals. In the final segment of the hour, Boomer tells us he’s always texting Ron Darling during Mets’ games. Boomer says the Mets have buzz, the Yankees have no buzz right now.
