Hour 1:
Boomer & Gio open the show with baseball returning tonight with the Yankees in Oakland and the Mets at home to face the Rockies. Boomer says the Mets will be facing a lot of ‘crappy’ pitching. deGrom looked uncomfortable in his last start so we are somewhat concerned about tonight. Jerry is here for his first update and starts with the Braves winning again last night and previews Mets/Rockies tonight. The Yankees are in Oakland. In Seattle last night, George Kirby threw 24 straight strikes. Bryce Harper had a walk off hit in Lehigh. MLB released their schedules for next year. Sterling Shepard was back at Giants practice. Mike Tomlin talks about the QB battle in Pittsburgh. Patrick Beverley goes from the Jazz to the Lakers. In the final segment of the hour, Gio tells us he’s going to see Chris Stapleton tonight. He was a dominant high school football player who played against Tim Couch. A caller asks if we remember the ‘You Make The Call’ commercials involving NFL scenarios. Boomer wonders how Gio’s Vikings are going to do this year.
Hour 2:
The 7am hour starts with Gio saying C.J. Mosley seems very excited about the Jets season this year and said it’s playoffs or bust. We also talked about Lamar Jackson and the Ravens and Aaron Rodgers and the Packers. Jerry returns for an update, but first Gio tells us Timmy Trumpet will be at Citi Field on Tuesday to throw out the first pitch and to play the Edwin Diaz entrance song live if he gets in the game. Boomer talks about some hazing incidents from his high school/college days. The Braves destroyed the Pirates yesterday 14-2. Stanton is expected back tonight in Oakland. Brian Daboll talks about getting Sterling Shepard back. In the final segment of the hour, production guy Zach Martin joins us as Gio has a question about a commercial he heard.
Hour 3:
The 8am hour begins talking about Brodie Van Wagenen and if he deserves credit for this current Mets team. We also got into a discussion about Daniel Jones this year for the Giants and other QBs from around the NFL. Boomer thinks the Packers will be in the Super Bowl this year. Gio says Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley are ‘The Pits’. Jerry returns for an update and has Shaun Morash doing an impression and Evan talking to a woman about boobs. Daboll and Saleh talk about the Giants and Jets playing each other in preseason. Are there any NFL coaches that could beat up Rob Saleh? Boomer thinks Sean McVay. The rest of us say no way. Mike Tomlin on ‘details relative to their positions’. Patrick Beverley goes to the Lakers. Gio does an impression of Mad Dog talking to Stephen A. Smith. In the final segment of the hour, we talk about the rumor of Tom Brady and the Masked Singer. We also talked about The Amazing Race and if Boomer & Gio should do that.
Hour 4:
The 9am hour starts with talk of the injury to Cowboys’ Tyron Smith. We also talked about the 17-game schedule and why NFL teams need a lot of depth now with added injuries. We also get into Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley for this upcoming season. Jerry returns for a final update and has audio from the DA Show about Justin Herbert. Mike Tomlin talks about the Steelers final preseason game and the importance of it. In the final segment of the hour, we bring Peter Schwartz in to mock his shorts. We also had pastries delivered in the final segment.
