Dave Kaye is a seasoned expert in digital qualitative research methods. His research career has taken him all around the world, where he has listened firsthand to stories from thousands of research participants. He is an expert in understanding how best to get to the heart of the narrative and the insights that live within it. And he has consistently been at the forefront of mobile research, previously founding Kiosk, the world’s first mobile qualitative agency, after a stint leading the digital team at Flamingo. He is passionate about applying new technologies to the world of research, but always keen to keep things simple.
Dave joined me on Conversations in Depth to discuss his untraditional path of getting into the market research business and why he became so passionate about digital methods. Along the way, we discuss why his former roommate thought he was a spy, how our parents have no idea what we do for a living, and what he’s up to now, including a business helping other qualitative researchers use mobile for insight gathering and storytelling.
