As we continue our series in the book of Esther, Joshua preaches from Esther 4:1-17. In this passage we see Mordecai’s reaction to the King’s edict that all of the Jews are to be wiped out on a single day of the year - utter sorrow and grief - and his subsequent conversation with Esther, where he gives her an ultimatum. As Joshua unpacks these verses for us, we see the nature of Mordecai’s actions, the likeness of Esther to the Lord Jesus Christ, and what this all means for us today.
