Our Emergency Departments are failing mental health patients. A new report has found mental health presentations account for only 4.5% of people in Emergency, yet they represent 30% of people waiting for a bed. This episode examines why some of us wait so long in hospital, and how this problem can’t be fixed by more time targets.
