Larry died November 23 after having a good Thanksgiving - Linda Grey and his dear family were present. Once again he shows good timing. This long time friend will be missed greatly. CW, Randi Shannon and I made this show for him the following morning. It will give you a small taste of this extraordinary man. He just recently created the LarryHagmanFoundation.org - you'll smile when you see his motto- evil does good. Please contribute if you are able.
In 1991, a Bedouin tribe delayed its annual migration across the Sahara because its elders were not prepared to miss the last episode of Dallas. It was probably the Who Shot JR episode that introduced the cliff hanger so frequently used in television today. I got this message from Debbie Ringchop of our radio team here at Waking Up In America -
JUST RELEASED: Regular guest and friend, Larry Hagman '81, passed away peacefully Friday afternoon Nov. 23 (yesterday) from complications with his cancer.
It is with my deepest sorrow to lose such a precious soul and friend of the environment and our show. His latest visit on Waking Up In America was August 1, 2012.
Dr. Val, I am so sorry that you have lost such a close friend... Sincerely, Debbie
Dennis Weaver's widow Gerry told me not to feel so bad, 'cause Larry was in Heaven having having a drink with Dennis. I hope they were talking about Ecolonomics.
