An Ennis Green Party Representative is seeking less costly bus services throughout the county.
It comes as calls have been made to extend the 20% reduction in public transport fares to the private bus sector.
New figures from the National Transport Authority show an 84% rise in commercial bus use but the number of journey's recorded is still significantly lower than pre-pandemic levels.
Ennis Green Party Representative, Bridget Ginnity, says increased bus services will make local tourism more attractive.
