Angela has been studying and working in the field of mental health for more than 30 years. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of Nebraska, and a masters and Ph.D. in Family Studies & Human Development at the University of Arizona. For 17 years, she was a tenured associate professor in the Department of Human Development’s Marriage and Family Therapy Program at Virginia Tech in Falls Church, VA. She taught both clinical and research courses, supervised graduate students in their clinical work, and conducted and published research related to military families and psychological adjustment. She is currently in a full-time private psychotherapy practice in Northern Virginia.
