Acts 8:26-35. Serving the Lord is seldom easy, but it is, as some would say, always worth it. Most who have served the Lord for much of their life would agree and I am one of them. Although over the decades of service many would have to say they have been deeply hurt by those closest to them and at times felt left alone and abandoned. Not only by people of the faith family and if they are honest at times the Lord too. There are seasons of confusion, hurt, despair and pressure from within and without. So what do men and women of God do? We all keep doing the work of the ministry even when it does not make sense. We keep looking and moving forward for the Glory of Jesus and His kingdom one obedient step at a time. No matter how tired, poured out, broken, or alone we feel, we are to keep putting one foot in front of the other until our race is run. Christian, keep your eyes on Jesus and run, walk, crawl, or even get carried if you have to, that you will be found to have journey well during your Christian adventure. Jesus is waiting at the finish line.
