Revelation 5:1-14. We have no idea what is coming. We can all sense the storm on the horizon but how bad things are going to get are beyond us. We can hypothesize about the coming judgment of this world and all those who practice evil and what they will ultimately endure eternally. But in the end, we actually have no idea what and how they will suffer. The reality of heaven should help us not seek to dwell on the darkness of that reality anyway. We need to keep our eyes fixed on the things of heaven and seek to not find ourselves enamored with the things of this world. Heaven is real and those who have put their trust and allegiance in Jesus will be with Him in His kingdom forever and reign with Him as his priest to all creation. Jesus is the one who has died to redeem not only us but all of creation. There is a promised new heaven and new earth and by the blood of Jesus we, from every tribe, tongue, people, and nation, will worship and serve the King of king and Lord of lords there. Jesus the lamb who was slain and live forevermore is our hope. Keep your eyes on Jesus and not the coming storm! For Jesus is our refuge, rescue, and redeemer.
