Revelation 2:12-17. We all, without question, face a world full of temptations. We can so focus on the things of the Lord and His Kingdom, minding our business, as we walk in the light of fellowship with Him. Then it seems, out of now where, that His light seems to fade from our lives. But it is not God who has changed, but we who have moved. We have wandered off the path again chasing something or someone shiny and new in the shadows of this world. Much of the time we are so combusted with our desires we do not really notice that it is a trap. The snare of the devil waits to consume us every time we lose our focus on Him and give in to compromise and we are often left suffering in the dark. This is why Solomon wrote, "Ponder the path of your feet; then all your ways will be sure. Do not swerve to the right or to the left; turn your foot away from evil. (Proverbs 4:26–27)
