Luke 2:25-32 Pastor Todd Capen Today we explore a most powerful gift - the gift of hope. We look at Simeon who lived in hope that he would see the Christ child and then speaks hopeful words to others. Simeon just sees a baby but the sight of this baby was enough for him. Exodus 14:10-18, Luke 2:36-38. Today we explore a most needed gift but also an overlooked gift. We desperately need a decisive intervention of God's awesome and decisive judgment and rescue. Psalm 65:1 says "praise waits for you in silence." This is an important gift God brings.

The Structure of the Bible connects the whole Bible from Genesis to the book of Revelation. Today we explore the first covenant made with Adam, the covenant of creation. May God provide for us insights into our need for a Second Adam, Jesus Christ. What is a covenant? A definition: A covenant is an unchangeable, divinely imposed legal agreement between God and man that stipulates the conditions of their relationship. Colossians 2:1-10 To what end or purpose should we strive for in our lives? Our culture supplies answers to this question and no single uniform answer is readily available. As Christians we often accept or absorb the culture's answers without much thought. In Christianity, Jesus Christ is presented as Lord over everything and this has huge implications in our lives.
