Episode 32: We’ve all suffered through too many embarrassments to count. That’s just part of being human. Sometimes we do things to embarrass ourselves. Sometimes we do or say something that causes other people to do or say something that embarrasses us.
Another sort of embarrassment is one I call an embarrassment of charity. That’s when you find yourself embarrassed for other people. The reason for your embarrassment isn’t because you think the other people are stupid, but rather because you realize they don’t realize they should be embarrassed for themselves.
The last time I can recall experiencing this embarrassment of charity was about four or four and a half years ago. Tune in to find out what that is!
Special Notice I don’t make a dime off the people I attempt to serve in this apostolate, except with the occasional sale of one of my books. However, like everything else in the world, this apostolate costs money. Until recently, I took in just enough money to meet expenses most months, but costs continue to climb. Consequently, I’ve begun using links in my show notes that allow me to earn a commission on anything you purchase through those links.
You’ll notice that I run display ads on various pages of my website. If you click on any of those display ads, or the links in the resources section that go to Amazon, I get a commission on anything you purchase on Amazon during the next twenty-four hours. Therefore, I’d really appreciate it if you would strongly consider making your purchases through the links on my website—text links or display ads.
Finally, you can rest assured that the links in the resources section of my show notes, although they earn me a commission, are things I truly recommend. I don’t send you to products just for the commission, but because I believe they will be a help to you.
Resources In an effort to provide you with the best, most helpful experience we can, any resource mentioned in The Cantankerous Catholic podcast will always be listed in this section.
