It’s no secret that the healthcare industry is facing a crisis. For the past few weeks, we’ve been interviewing professionals on the burnout that is present for nurses globally. In this episode, we had Dr. Jacqueline Hoying. Dr. Hoying is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Nursing and serves as the Director of the MINDSTRONG/MINDBODYSTRONG program and Community Core at the Helene Fuld Health Trust National Institute at The Ohio State University. In today’s episode, Dr. Hoying gives us insight into the MINDSTRONG/MINDBODYSTRONG program and how it helps to foster stress reduction among clinicians. She gives details into how the program can support nurses facing burnout and improve clinicians’ overall mental health, behaviors and job satisfaction.
She also shares impactful wisdom on cultivating self-compassion, prioritizing self-care and treating yourself the same way you would treat a dear friend and loved one.
