A question was asked of Jesus and the answer was simple, straight forward, and likely produced the most amazing miracle the people there had ever seen. This seems to be one of the earliest individual healings Jesus did, and this morning we are taking the most extensive deep dive into this very short encounter. Just three verses cover Jesus’ arrival, encounter with the man, and his cleansing. It is covered in three Gospels (Matthew, Mark, and Luke) which should give us an indication of its importance. Some of the details of this healing miracle may not have jumped out at you when you have read it before, but after today I hope they always will.
