There is a striking difference between prophets of God and false prophets. It is a distinction that is not learned through what is taught in scripture, but one that you will clearly see in demonstration. Once you see this, there is teaching in the word to back it up but without seeing the demonstration it could easily be missed.

Seeing this could have great application to our modern Christian life in discerning what is true and what is false; what is of God and what is not. In the main example we look at today, what is false will try and pass itself off as being from God, but how true would this have looked to those living at the time? Were they worshipers of idols and God? Did they see God as the true God?
