The prophet is a gift from God to give us His perspective to a situation, crisis, decision, or whatever we face in life that God decides to speak to. That perspective is often very different from the one we have. What does God expect us to do in response to a message He gives through a prophet?

The Word tells us to believe His prophets so we can prosper (flourish or succeed in the things spoken about), so what constitutes us believing? To understanding this we are going to look at a crisis that came up, prayer was made, and a word sent. What was in the word and what was not in the word are consistent with what we looked at last week that a prophet should speak. The people of Israel responded and a great victory was enjoyed, instead of the doom it looked like was coming. What did they do in response to the word from God and what can we learn from it?
