We look at the story of God asking Solomon "What shall I give you" to which Solomon asks for Understanding and discernment in judging the people. God said "see, I have given you a wise and understanding heart..." (God's wisdom comes with understanding and discernment.) This is immediately tested with the only account we are given of Solomon's judgments. Understand, whatever gift we receive from God will be tested!
