The already-but-not-yet state of God's renewal in Christ means that the Christian's sonship is not yet fully realized, and so characterized by faith and hope expressed in lament and longing. This is why lament is as much a part of authentic worship as are praise and thanksgiving. And imprecation is a key dimension of lament, and so also a component of worship. This sermon examines imprecation in the Psalms and how it should be understood.
