In Exodus 17, God continued to move the Israelites through the desert and provide for their needs despite their constant dissatisfaction. This weekend, Pastor John continued Center of All Things with a look into how easily we too can miss the miracles happening all around us. Like God can provide water in the desert, Jesus can provide living water for your soul!

Do you rely on God to be your provider?
This weekend we continued our collection of talks, Center of All Things, with the story of Exodus 16. When the Israelites were in the desert they relied on God to provide food each day for 40 years. Like the bread that sustained them from Heaven, Pastor John taught how Jesus spoke of being the bread of life who sustains us spiritually.

What are you trusting in?
This Easter weekend Pastor John walked through how the night of the first Passover in Egypt was one of darkness and despair for those who trusted in anything but the blood of the lamb to save them. In the same way that trusting God's commands and provision provided victory and freedom back then, "painting the doorposts" of our lives with Jesus is the only way to true life now! Our special guest Chad Robichaux shares with us how God used him to start Operation Save our Allies to do the unimaginable and evacuate 17,000 people from Taliban control in Afghanistan. His inspiring retelling of the operation is a glimpse into God's will, and our ability to choose to say yes to His mission while facing our own doubts and insecurities.

For our last week of our series, Inside The Circle, Pastor John closes us out by discussing the ways that spiritual habits and daily rhythms can help us to live the life we were created for in Jesus. Together we will see that the way we structure our spiritual habits will determine our victory in life.

When it comes to our victory that is found in Jesus, sometimes the lie that you’re not good enough distorts our understanding of our true identity. There is nothing this world can promise you because God already gave it to you. Join as we remove all our labels to find that our true identity and worth is found in our creator.
We’re beginning a new series this week, titled Inside The Circle. Throughout this series we will see that we have been given everything we need in order to live victoriously - it all comes down to the way you drive your life.

What a blessing to spend Easter together and we are amazed and overwhelmed by the things that God did all throughout the weekend and by the things He is still doing. The stories are flooding in of the ways that God moved within each individual heart and of the ways people encountered Jesus. This is something worthy of celebrating!
If you’re like us, there have been many moments when it seems like God is silent, leaving our prayers unheard and unanswered. For the last week of our series “When you…”, Pastor John talks about these very moments. What now? God didn’t do what I wanted…
The outcome of our prayers don’t determine our view of God. The true miracle isn’t in the healing, it’s in the moments when we trust in God, even though things don’t go the way you want. This week we are building our trust in Christ and clinging to the truth that is found in him.

We're entering into the second week of our 21 days of Prayer & Fasting. This week we have a special emphasis on prayers of intercession.
Through the person of Jesus we are able to have unlimited access to our creator and we believe that being in communion with God is something we can celebrate and share. It is through prayers of intercession that we are able to bring the people we know to the God we love, surrendering them to the loving care of our Lord and Savior.
If you're like the rest of us, oftentimes it can be difficult to rejoice always and to give thanks. It might feel like there isn't much of anything to be thankful for.
When you approach God with a posture of thanksgiving, you surrender your own needs and see the character of God; a loving, caring and gracious Savior. By creating a foundation of thanksgiving, you open the door of opportunity to see God with an entirely new perspective. You will see that even here, amidst your circumstance, you can rejoice. Even here, the Lord is good.
We began our new teaching series on Prayer & Fasting and we can't wait for what's to come. If you’ve ever wondered about the purpose and practice of prayer and fasting, this week’s message is for you!
Starting NEXT MONDAY we are stepping into 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting as the Heights family. Before then, we wanted to begin this time with a week of intentionality. Our hope is that you take this time to review your own motivations and understanding on prayer & fasting.

As we go into this next week and step into new areas and spaces, we pray that you’re empowered to experience and know the father in everything you do.
Too often we get so focused on what’s happening in our own lives that we miss what’s going on in the world around us. today we have the opportunity to slow down and catch the heart of Jesus for the lost.

This weekend we stepped into our third week of What If, where (you might have gathered) we had a conversation on justice. As disciples of Jesus, He calls us to nurture both our personal holiness with Christ and also our heart for greater compassion and justice.

This week we are reframing our perspective to change our interpretation of the picture that is 2022. Whatever this year brings you, we hope that you can shift your outlook to see the gratitude that is produced by the circumstances that you will face. No matter the moment you find yourself in, there is purpose to be found in every moment of every day.
This weekend we got to lean in together, pause for a moment, and fix our gaze toward being intentional with all that Jesus has intended for us in this new year. We are getting well in 2022 and taking ground in our journey as followers of Jesus.
This week we encourage you to set aside at least 10 minutes and take a moment to fix your gaze upon the grace given to you through Jesus. Reflect on the narrative that begins at Christmas with the birth of Jesus and see how there is so much more for you in 2022, in your faith, and in every single moment thereafter.
This weekend Pastor Owen wrapped up our Advent season by talking to us about the peace that accompanies the arrival of our Savior.
No matter the season we're in, it's easy to get overwhelmed by the chaos that lives all around us. This Christmas season is a great reminder that our peace isn't based on the outcome of our situation but it's based on the good news that has been given to us.
The season of Advent is all about the anticipation for what is to come and let's be honest... There is something great coming this Christmas!
In the arrival of our Savior, there is freedom to be found as we grasp that Jesus came to earth on a rescue mission for humanity. As we shift our perspective towards the birth of our Savior and the freedom found within, we find a new motivation to care for the needs of those within our community.
How does this shape the way you step into today?

This weekend we got to hear a timely message from Pastor Todd on having true joy, even when things aren't always joy-filled. In the same way that the first Christmas was a little messy, our own Christmas season can oftentimes be a bit of a mess too.

As we have adventured all through the story of Joseph, we have seen God’s sovereignty playing out in every aspect.
For our final week of Intended For Good, we see how God continues to walk alongside Joseph through all of life's offenses and how we too can step into forgiveness like Joseph.
For week two of Intended For Good, we reflect on the ways that God takes all of Joseph's life's circumstances and uses them for His glory to help paint a portrait of Jesus.
During the trials and temptations that Joseph faced, he wasn't able to change his situations, but he was able to shift the moment's focus and outcome to reflect back towards Christ, bringing victory over the trial.
We're jumping into a brand new series where we will take a deep dive into the life of Joseph. We look forward to the upcoming weeks with great excitement and anticipation as we study God's word together with you.
In the same way that we select a destination on our GPS, how do we do this for our lives? As we route our GPS to home, we have to put God in the correct position.

We are very excited to say that Pastor John is back with us for our seventh week of our current series on Ephesians.
Last week we discussed five qualities of an imitator of God. This week we continue this conversation and see that everything you do should be influenced by who you are in the new.
In chapter five of Ephesians, you'll read of God's call for us to be imitators of Christ. This is the foundation upon which we will center our time, looking at the symptoms of cheap imitations and real imitators.

Can you believe that we are already in our 4th week of ‘Castles of Sand’? We have loved this practical series, helping us to find rhythms to stand on as we build a solid foundation in 2021. This week we discuss the topic of forgiveness. In Matthew 6:12 we see that there is a daily happening of seeking forgiveness of our debts, as we forgive our debaters. Within that happening, there is a releasing of debts from both us and God.

A Reason for Hope - Week 1
This week we launch our new series, "A Reason For Hope". In this series, we focus on the season of advent; looking both behind us and in front of us with anticipation of the arrival of Jesus. In this season, we have a reason for the hope that we have.
Today we are focusing on having gratitude in the present and hope for the future because of the truth from the past. Watch today's teaching to hear about the ways that both gratitude and thanksgiving through prayer can help us in this season of advent and preparation.
In a culture that is surrounded by noise, we are invited to make it our ambition to lead a quiet soul, which is the result of a quiet life. How is it that we are to enter into a tranquil, calm, quiet life? That is exactly what Pastor Ron talks about in his teaching titled, "A Quiet Life".
In this season of life, it's easy to find ourselves busy and distracted from the things that God has placed before us. Pastor John dives into the book of Exodus to walk through the life of Moses. We find that even when he was deep into the wilderness, God showed up and God found him right where he was at, despite the battles that he has faced or the bondages he was enslaved to.

This is exactly what Pastor Ron discusses as he wraps up our current teaching series, The Way of the Apprentice. As we analyze the actions and words of Jesus, we see ways that we can be imitators of Christ and how we can disciple others around us.
Pastor Ron then opened a conversation around what his steps following Jesus are looking like right now and going forward. Pastor Mike also shared about how God is stirring him toward stepping out in obedience. Our time together today was huge in the life of our church. In the second to last week of the series, The Ways of the Apprentice, Pastor John leads us through a conversation that addresses our inclination of viewing people through a lense that chategorizes us from them. We begin to transition our mindset from having a divided mentality to seeing the humanity in people the way that God sees the humanity in people.
We are challenged this week to set our heart on things above and to gain a heavenly perspective. In doing so, we begin to change our mindset from viewing people as being against us to being collectively for God. We have made it to week seven of the series, The Ways of the Apprentice, and we are LOVING this series. We've spent the last six weeks discussing different perspectives of being an apprentice of Jesus and now it's time to help others be discipled within their relation with Christ.

What is it that you're desiring? What is the source of that desire? And fruit is being produced as an outcome? These are all things that we discuss as we turn our perspective to the desires of God.
What is it that God is up to - in both your personal life and in the world in its entirety?
This is a question that Pastor Ron brings up, discussing practical ways in figuring out what God is doing. We are challenged to look at the lessons that God seems to be revealing to us and to also look for clues to a bigger picture, showing what God is doing in the grander scheme of things.
Even when we don't have all of the answers or when we don't have a full understanding, we can trust and find peace in knowing that God has our best interest at heart and that he cares about us.
The practice of Lament is an honest prayer and expression towards God that ultimately leads us to better trust him, and it is seen all throughout the Bible.
In this weeks message, Pastor John walks us through the idea of what it means to lament and he discusses the importance of being honest with God; producing in us a greater trust in him.
This week we are challenged to step into this action of lament, bringing our worries, sorrows, and struggles to God in an honest expression. Let's approach God, laying everything down at his feet, knowing that he is bringing us new mercies every day.
