It’s an idea as old as Aristophanes’ Lysistrata (that’s a play from the 5th century BC, kids): women who haven’t gotten their way have decided to withhold sex from their men until the frustrated lugs comply with their wishes. In New York City’s Union Square on Saturday, a pro-abortion protester named Caroline Healey declared: “I think it’s absolutely valid for us to be withholding the Holy Grail that men seem to think is important.” Judging from the many videos that have surfaced over the last few days of green-haired, slovenly dressed, morbidly obese, body-painted pro-abortion protesters, there is only one response: Your terms are acceptable.

There's a memorable scene in the Coen Brother film O Brother Where Art Thou (2000) where the fictional Mississippi governor Pappy O'Daniel (inspired by the real Texas politician W. Lee O'Daniel) confronts assistants running his campaign for re-election. Facing a surging opponent, O'Daniel demands new ideas to turn the race around. When his dimwitted son suggests "people like that reform, maybe we should get us some," the governor explodes. "Reform, you soft-headed sumb---h? How we gonna run reform when we're the damn incumbent?"

Barack Obama was at the White House yesterday, making it clear, as did others at the reception held in Obama's honor, that Biden's presidency is over. Watching Obama suck the oxygen out of the room made me wonder if Obama is planning a comeback, something he can easily do.

I have a new name for the current occupant of the White House: Doomsday Joe. We have heard “Creepy Joe,” “Ol’ Joe,” “Sleepy Joe,” and “Stumblin’ Joe,” but now let’s add “Doomsday Joe,” because he, the Democrat Party, and the puppet masters behind the scenes are producing the script and pulling the strings are a cluster munition weapon of mass destruction that is wreaking havoc across America.

The allegations against Joe Biden are stunning. They involve corruption and the risk of treason. Influence-peddling with the Chinese, Russians, and Ukrainians, to the tune of multimillions of dollars pocketed by Biden and his family. The PRC, Putin, and others appear to have the goods on Biden. That makes the former vice president subject to blackmail.

"All you need to do is hear what the President did this week to know this is not about immigration at all. Because once you start telling American citizens to quote 'go back to your own countries,' this tells you that this President's policies are not about immigration, it's about ethnicity and racism," Ocasio-Cortez said during a town hall on immigration held in her district in Queens, New York, in reference to Trump's tweeted racist attacks at her and three other minority congresswomen known as "The Squad."

Her remarks are nonsense. Is she trying to tell us that were the border surgers pouring over the border without papers Caucasian, President Trump wouldn't mind? And, by the way, many of them are - hasn't she heard that 'Latino' isn't a race?

There’s a marvelous scene in Alfred Hitchcock’s “North by Northwest” where an advertising executive, played by Cary Grant, swipes a taxi from another man by claiming that his secretary is ill. When she chides him for the lie, Grant unblinkingly replies: “In the world of advertising, there’s no such thing as a lie. There’s only expedient exaggeration.”

Like so many of these shiny objects that people get totally excited about... once you get close enough you start to see that it ain't so shiny. I think [Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez] is crumbling under the pressure of answering questions."

Her famous claim that the US could save $21 trillion by keeping tighter controls on Pentagon budgets was obviously ludicrous.

Will the media ever call out Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's ignorance?

Even after the mostly breezy interview on Wednesday with CNN’s Chris Cuomo, the New York Times should transition from describing Ocasio-Cortez as a “political rock star” to “kind of slow.”

Cuomo asked Ocasio-Cortez basic questions about her political positions, like whether she supported Rep. Nancy Pelosi for House speaker — “We gotta take a look at what’s going on," Ocasio-Cortez said — and how the U.S. would pay for multitrillion-dollar universal healthcare, to which she questioned why we don’t consider “the cost of all the funeral expenses of those who died” because we don’t have universal healthcare.Instead of asking if Ocasio-Cortez was sober, Cuomo simply nodded along thoughtfully.

This is the person liberal New York Times columnist Michelle Goldberg on Thursday describedas “charismatic and rousing.”

The midterms weren't a blue wave, but they weren't shark fin soup for Republicans either, given that they lost the House by a small margin.

That said, the big loser who stands out here is hard-campaigning President Obama, the guy who thought he was the star of the Democratic Party and who, throwing the tradition of former presidents staying aloof from politics out the window, campaigned hard, long, and loud, for Democrats in this midterm. Turns out the ones he fought the hardest for lost.

Caravan refers to, “A group of travelers, as merchants or pilgrims, journeying together for safety in passing through deserts or hostile territory.” Conjuring up images dating back to biblical days of people braving hardship during their travels, the media has coopted the term for political benefit to describe a horde of illegal immigrants heading to the U.S. just ahead of a major election.

They are neither merchants nor pilgrims. I doubt they are facing severe hardship during their journey as most of their basic needs are being met courtesy of wealthy benefactors.

The Trump administration’s often overlooked list of achievements has surpassed those of former President Ronald Reagan at this time and more than doubled since the last tally of accomplishments after his first year in office, giving President Trump a solid platform to run for re-election on.

As Trump nears the two-year mark of his historic election and conducts political rallies around the country, during which he talks up his wins in hopes it will energize Republican voters, the administration has counted up 289 accomplishments in 18 categories, capped by the confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court.

Resurgence and Resilience 17 Years After 9/11

In seventeen years we have come to understand the power of faith and the pain of sacrifice more than we ever imagined. And just like the souls of the faithful departed who sought heavenly refuge as they flew from windows above the pool now filled in their memory, the fate of their brothers and sisters who rushed into the burning towers to save them was also sealed. Now sick first responders die day by day in a slow motion replay of nine eleven free fall. So above all on this day we honor the dead, the living and the sick, innocents and heroes all of every color, creed, station.

The search for the Great American Novel should have ended in 1957 when a Russian immigrant named Ayn Rand published Atlas Shrugged. Arresting in its breadth, depth, and style, Atlas Shrugged is a manifesto on politics, philosophy, and economics wrapped up in a compelling narrative featuring larger-than-life (and smaller-than-life) characters.

Atlas Shrugged has shaped the worldview of many devotees of liberty, and it surged in popularity in the wake of the recent financial crisis since it became clear that the government's response to crisis and recession would not be to learn from its mistakes and recede but to expand its reach.

While purporting to be a blessing, this is in fact a curse. The expression is always used ironically, with the clear implication that 'uninteresting times', of peace and tranquillity, are more life-enhancing than interesting ones.

'May you live in interesting times' is widely reported as being of ancient Chinese origin but is neither Chinese nor ancient, being recent and western. It certainly seems to have been intended to sound oriental, in the faux-Chinese 'Confucius he say' style, but that's as near to China as it actually gets. Confucius's actual sayings are as elusive as those of his western counterpart Aesop - we have no written records from either of them.

President Donald Trump's inner circle is said to be facing fears that the biggest threat to his presidency is not impeachment, but rather his cabinet using the 25th Amendment to declare him "unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office."

The amendment has been invoked in this way only three times before, and coincidentally, each time has involved presidential colons.

The 25th Amendment of the Constitution was passed in 1967 after fears about presidential succession after President John F. Kennedy's assassination. The first two sections deal with presidents and vice presidents resigning, dying, or being generally removed from office, and these sections were invoked in order to elevate Gerald R. Ford to the presidency after Richard Nixon resigned in 1974.

The second two sections of the amendment deal specifically with what to do with a president who is unfit to serve, and it is these sections Trump has to worry about. If he is removed under these sections, he would be joining a small list of presidents who all had their powers temporarily removed due to doctors operating on their colons.

Let us assume that Jimmy Carter is an intelligent, decent, hardworking man. Assume, moreover, that he has appointed to his cabinet and sub-cabinet many men and women who are experienced and dedicated. How, then, can a president—certainly no less mentally alert than most past presidents—with many advisers of high caliber, produce such an undistinguished presidency?

It’s a puzzlement. And it cannot be accounted for by most of the explanations currently in vogue, such as: Carter’s an outsider who really doesn’t understand the levers of national governance; or Carter surrounds himself with a “Georgia Mafia” whose weaknesses are the same as his own; or Carter is a bad manager who hasn’t been able to sort out decisions that a president must make from those that should be settled at lower levels; or Congress is so uncontrollable that it will not allow any president to exercise the reins of leadership; or the bureaucracy has grown beyond the span of presidential control; or many of the nation’s problem’s are highly intractable; or even all these reasons taken together—although there is truth in all.

IS TRUMP UNFIT FOR OFFICE?

The 25th Amendment to the Constitution may define the conditions for suspending a president’s authority, but it does not constrain the reasoning behind it.

As written, the amendment states that if a president “is unable to discharge the powers and duties of the office,” the vice president and a majority of the Cabinet can suspend him. Historically, such an inability was attributable to illness or medical problems, but, in light of President Donald Trump, I offer we expand our interpretation: Medicine aside, it is clear Trump is unfit to serve, and lawmakers must invoke the 25th Amendment against him.

Fears of physical disability were certainly foremost in bringing about the amendment. Going back to at least the 1890s, when President Grover Cleveland had surgery to remove a cancerous growth on his jaw, the country had been in jeopardy of being governed by a chief executive who had lost his physical capacity to lead the nation. In 1919-1920, when a stroke immobilized Woodrow Wilson, and his wife largely ran the executive branch, Americans worried about finding a way to overcome temporary or permanent presidential incapacity.

Franklin Roosevelt’s tenure in the White House added to the sense of urgency about replacing a disabled president. By 1944, it was clear to people around Roosevelt that his health was in decline and that he might not live out a fourth term, which proved to be the case.

Liberals call Trump “Hitler” and the conservatives who support him “Nazis.” Which, as I pointed out in my last column, is wrong, reckless and bordering on insanity. Hitler and the Nazis killed 6 million Jews and tens of millions of others in World War II. Nothing compares to Hitler or the Nazis. To make that comparison is obscene.

So it is ironic that Democrats and liberals are acting like the Mafia. Or street thugs. Or “domestic terrorists.” Take your pick.

A few months back, while clearing out a closet, I found a long-forgotten “Who is John Galt” coffee mug which also bears one of his quotes: “I swear by my life and my love of it that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine." Ayn Rand’s philosophy, Objectivism, loosely stated, promotes rational self-interest and laissez-faire capitalism. John Galt epitomizes all that is glorious of capitalism in its purist form -- innovation, self-reliance, and freedom from government interference. How ironic that, this morning, I noticed that the mug, at its new home on my desk, was sitting on a newspaper whose feature article reported on the riots in Greece following a new round of legislated austerity measures. How would my fictional friend view the current state of Greece, the Euro and the EMU’s intervention, or the more activist policies of global central banks? I have no idea. My, admittedly, scant knowledge of Objectivism is similar to my view of Ron Paul’s platform: Some aspects appeal to me, but not at a price that I’d be willing to pay.

This next presidential election presents a choice between two social contracts: the socialist-fascist contract of ? and the limited government-free enterprise-capitalist contract of Mr. Donald John Trump and the Republican Party.

Washington is a mess. And the effects of that mess are not just affecting the life of millions; they are changing the direction of our entire country. Since the Democrats took over the majority in Washington, our country has seen a massive shift from a nation of freedom and prosperity to regulations and government dependence. Somehow they have managed to justify a $17 trillion debt, found a way to skirt their constitutional responsibility to pass a budget each year, and regulate the way the private sector does business. They’ve even managed to get away with telling individuals what type of healthcare is best for them: 65 year old men need maternity care. How have they possibly continued on this path of intrusion without an uprising? We may have an answer and it’s all in the name of the poor.

OCD often centers on themes such as a fear of germs or the need to arrange objects in a specific manner. Symptoms usually begin gradually and vary throughout life.

We see this kind of stuff every day from the media. They are obsessed with every small detail of Trump's existence. They compulsively feel the need to not only point to something negative, but also the sinister, the unbalanced, or what they see as "evil."

Nationwide, while Democrats currently hold fewer seats than they have at any time since Republicans took away all their slaves after the Civil War, where they do remain in power, the murder rate is on the rise. According to a new report, across the country, the murder rate rose 8% over last year, but this is primarily due to a handful of cities -- Chicago, Baltimore, and Houston. And all three of those cities have been run exclusively by Democrats for decades.

In 2015 and 2016, several cities -- especially Chicago -- saw their murder rates increase significantly. The distorting effect of this concentrated increase is illustrated in Figure 6, which breaks down the total increase in murders between 2014 and 2016 by city. As shown below, Baltimore, Chicago and Houston together account for around half of the increase in murder in major cities between 2014 and 2016.

All but one of the murder victims in St. Louis last year were Black, and everybody accused of those murders were also Black. Those were the statistics that prompted one of the city’s top law enforcement officials to make a personal plea to his fellow African-Americans: Stop it now.

“One hundred percent of the people that were caught and accused of those crimes were African-Americans. We have to address that,” St. Louis Public Safety Director Jimmie Edwards said specifically to “Black folk” during an event marking the annual Martin Luther King, Jr. national holiday on Monday. “We cannot go forward and continue King’s dream unless we look in the mirror and address that problem. That’s a problem that’s on us.

Would you think to have 41 people shot [in Chicago] between Friday morning and Monday morning would be much more newsworthy and deserve much more outrage?” he asked.

From Mar. 16 to Mar. 19, 41 people, mostly African-American, were shot in Chicago, Obama’s adopted hometown. Ten were killed, but there was little reaction outside Chicago, say several African-American leaders and commentators.

A Pew Research Center survey in 2016 found that 59 percent of Americans say “too many people are easily offended these days over the language that others use.” While people outside the bigotsphere try to avoid language or actions that offend others, at the same time, some attempts at politically correct behavior can go too far. These PC terms can devalue the English language and cause confusion.

If there's anything that lays out how arrogant and entitled the Democratic Party is, take a look at how many Democratic grandees' feathers are being ruffled by Democratic Socialist "it girl" Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who defeated a ten-term Democratic incumbent in their Bronx-Queens congressional district earlier this month and who now outshines them all.

U.S. President Donald Trump said he intends to run for reelection in 2020 because "everybody wants me to" and there are no Democrats who could defeat him, the Mail on Sunday reported.

Asked by British journalist Piers Morgan in an interview given on Friday whether he was going to run in 2020, Trump was quoted by the Mail on Sunday as saying: "Well I fully intend to. It seems like everybody wants me to."

Trump said he did not see any Democrat who could beat him: "I don't see anybody. I know them all and I don't see anybody."

Under Capitalism, individuals own and control land, capital, and production of industry. Individuals are free to purchase and own their own homes, cars, furniture, and other goods such as TV, radios, computers, boats, or any thing else you might want. You have total freedom to live where you want and what type of job field you want to pursue. If you have an idea for a new business or invention, you are free to pursue this without government interference. Under this system you have the maximum number of choices in life. This is the 'pursuit of happiness' from the Declaration of Independence.

While interviewing people on the streets of Atlanta and Miami I came to the staggering realization of how many allegedly well-educated people assumed that Abraham Lincoln was a Democrat fighting slave-owning Republicans in the South.

Confronted with the uncomfortable truth that Lincoln was a Republican, many people became enraged at their own ignorance and projected their angst on our unsuspecting and bewildered crew. While placing the subtext of blame upon the shoulders of racist white men, to make a self-serving point concerning illegal immigration Obama used black Americans as beasts of burden to haul the weight of his reprimand.

For starters, historical revisionist Barack Obama left out the fact that those doing the beating in Selma were members of the Democratic Party. The president dared not reveal that, 50 years later, both he and his political cronies are now politically and economically billy-clubbing the very people he pretends to defend.

Keynote speaker Obama opened the discourse by extolling civil rights leader/Martial Law advocate John Lewis (D-GA). Predictably, before long, Obama’s words started to sound more like he was discussing his own struggles as a ‘fundamental transformer’ than commemorating a half-century old injustice.

Regarding bypassing Congress, doing away with checks and balances, fifty-eight percent of Democrats think the president should take action alone if Congress does not approve his proposals. Eighteen percent of Republicans and 39 percent of voters not affiliated with either major party (independents) think similarly. This is the thought process we've come to expect from Democrats, but any percentage above zero from Republicans is surprising. They must have all been RINOs.

Obama's questionably legal action is bad enough. But that's not the worst of it, not by a long shot. It seems that a plurality of U.S. Democrats (and, sadly) some Republicans and independents think as Obama does. They think, despite the U.S. Constitution, that Obama should be able to do anything he wants if he thinks "it's the right thing to do."

Dear Leader Barack Hussein Obama thinks it's permissible to rewrite federal statutes, like immigration laws and ObamaCare's employer mandate and signup deadlines. Example: Regarding laws governing U.S. immigration policy, when Obama signed the executive amnesty order barring prosecution (and subsequent deportation) of something like 4 million illegal immigrants, he said "I just took an action to change the law." He was never concerned that his action was illegal. He just saw 4 million Democrat voters.

Obama's rationale for unilaterally changing the immigration law: the fact that Congress was hopelessly gridlocked on immigration issues and wouldn't pass laws he favored, the intolerable legal limbo that illegal aliens found themselves in, and that a crisis existed that demanded that he act, that he sign an executive order. The fact that the aliens were (by current law) illegal never was a consideration for him. It was just crucially important that he immediately act unilaterally. So he did.

Recall the euphoria that engulfed the African-American community back in 2008, when Barack Obama became the 44th president of the United States. Blacks came out for him in droves and voted for him at an astounding 96% level. Times, they were a-changin', so to speak. It was the dawning of a new era, as a large dose of hope and change was on its way to the county as a whole, and specifically to the African-American community. Now, almost four years later, it's clear that Obama has done nothing to improve the way of life among blacks as a whole. In fact, statistics show that life has actually regressed for African-Americans under Obama.

Why Does Obama Hate African-Americans and Jews?

President Barack Obama got 89% support from black voters and 66% support from Jewish voters. The question is why are African Americans and Jews voting against their own self-interest? Why are they voting for a guy committed to hurting them? As an American (and a Jew), I couldn’t think of a more dangerous or damaging plan towards African-Americans or Jews than the one being carried out by Obama.

Let’s start with black Americans, and let me be blunt. As a successful businessman, Obama’s plan to give amnesty to millions of illegal aliens will not greatly affect my life. However, it will it crush the lives of millions of poor and lower income black Americans, especially those striving and working hard to escape poverty and achieve the American dream.

Rudy Giuliani doubled down on his claims that President Obama doesn’t “love America” in an interview with The Post Friday — claiming the commander-in-chief has been influenced by communists since his youth.

“From the time he was 9 years old, he was influenced by Frank Marshall Davis, who was a communist,” Giuliani said. The ex-mayor added that Obama’s grandfather introduced him to Davis, a writer and labor activist.

Obama’s Father Wrote about Socialism – His father wrote a paper called “Problems With Our Socialism” that advocates 100% taxation of the rich, communal ownership of land and the forced confiscation of privately controlled land.

President Obama certainly shows a lot of favor toward Islam. Even the most casual observer must realize by now that every time the United States has any interaction with Muslims or Islamic countries, the Muslims always seem to come out ahead. After looking at empirical and anecdotal evidence — Barack Obama's actions and words, and the claims of his siblings — I am convinced that Mr. Obama is a Muslim. Beclowning is unbecoming for an American President. But for Barack Obama the clown suit fits fine. Our enemies are laughing; we are not.

A clear majority of the American people say that the Obama administration is not competent to manage the affairs of the U.S. government, according to a Quinnipiac poll released Wednesday.

When Obama took office, he had a dazzling 67 percent approval to only 13 percent disapproval. Only one in five disapproved of the president and most of that can be chalked up to natural ideological differences and the fact that he belongs to a different political party. Now, after he won his second election, he has a dismal 40% approval and 52% disapproval. Results matter.

This cannot be emphasized strongly enough: the American people are not “racists.” They are good and decent people who have lost their patience with the Obama administration’s blame games, lack of accountability, You can only smear your opponents with baseless charges for so long before people wise up and realize they’re being played.

While he plays with the economy - as if it’s a high-school classroom experiment - our spendable income dwindles and jobs evaporate. Mr. Obama and his puppet master, Valerie Jarrett, make changes at will, with little or no understanding of the harm it’s causing real people.

In the SOTU, President Obama said, “Tonight, after a breakthrough year for America, our economy is growing and creating jobs at the fastest pace since 1999. Our unemployment rate is now lower than it was before the financial crisis.”

Good thing the “Lie-O-Meter” wasn’t attached to the podium. It may have blown up with that whopper.

The President used his warped version of the Crusades to bash Christians. He also blamed slavery and Jim Crow laws on Christians? Seriously?

That dream, as D'Souza argues, is the defeat of oppressive colonialism that manifested itself in the rise of the United States as the dominant world power at the expense of the third world. In short, Obama seeks to right the wrongs identified by the most radical Communist sympathizers and activists of the post-World War II world, with Barack Hussein Obama, Sr. chief among them. D'Souza, utilizing Obama's first autobiography, Dreams from My Father, takes viewers along for a journey into Obama's upbringing in Hawaii and Indonesia, and then to his alleged self-discovery in Kenya at his father's grave.

Lubbock County Judge Tom Head explained why it is necessary to raise the tax rate by 1.7 cents the next fiscal year, one reason being that the sheriff needs to expand his staff. Judge Head said he and the county must be prepared for many contingencies, one that he particularly fears, is if President Obama is reelected. “He's going to try to hand over the sovereignty of the United States to the UN, and what is going to happen when that happens?,” Head asked. “I'm thinking the worst. Civil unrest, civil disobedience, civil war maybe. And we're not just talking a few riots here and demonstrations, we're talking Lexington, Concord, take up arms and get rid of the guy.

Those who believed, in 2008, that Obama's off-the-cuff "spread the wealth around" line was indicative of his real, socialistic intentions, rather than simply a poor word choice, can now relax. The president has finally clarified things, this time with the benefit of a script, so at last we can understand his true plans. As it turns out, his remark to Joe the Plumber was merely a gaffe after all. For we now know that when he said "spread the wealth," what he really meant was "share the prosperity." See the difference? No? Then allow me to unpack it for you.

In a Chicago fundraiser on Sunday, President Obama observed that “too many folks still don’t have a sense that tomorrow will be better than today.” Of course, he didn’t mention that he’s the primary reason for that. He just got finished telling American business owners that they’re not responsible for their own success, they should stop complaining because they’re doing fine, and he’s willing to throw them off the fiscal cliff of Taxmageddon if they don’t pony up more money to fund his agenda.

This next presidential election presents a choice between two social contracts: the socialist-fascist contract of Mr. Obama and the Democrat Party1, and the limited government-free enterprise-capitalist contract of Mr. Romney2 and the Republican Party. So let's see: Romney's running mate is not an Ivy League establishmentarian. He doesn't even have a graduate degree, let alone a law degree. He speaks without embarrassment about the influence of Ayn Rand -- the spiritual founder of libertarianism -- on his political views, and has even encouraged his staffers to read Rand's works.

RULE 13: "Confound the enemy with allegations he cannot possibly disprove." Whenever possible, turn the enemy in on himself. Look for ways to increase insecurity, anxiety, and confusion. (Watch how organizations flail helplessly when blindsided by irrelevant arguments they cannot refute.)

For decades I have heard gun owners claim that the government would never be able to confiscate our firearms because the government would lose too many men. The implication being, of course, that gun owners would actively resist confiscation, even to the point of shooting back. But I believe this thinking is outdated and doesn’t align very well with reality. But before you tell me how big your honor guard in Hell will be when that day comes, let’s think about how the government could really do it.

On July 5, Fox News ran a piece documenting the "fresh scrutiny" Barack Obama has faced since the June publication of David Maraniss's new book, Barack Obama: The Story. "By some counts," Fox's James Rosen reported, "The Story presents more than three-dozen instances of material discrepancy where [Dreams from My Father] fails to align with the facts as Maraniss reports them." Although Rosen tried to determine whether Obama was justified in prevaricating as he did in his 1995 memoir, he did not assess the real cost of that prevarication. Neither did those he interviewed.

These results are within the poll's margin of error and are also close to the Real Clear Politics aggregation of major polls which finds Obama leading Romney 47.5% to 43.8%.

When he was 14 years old he altered the date on his birth certificate to show he was born December 21, 1949, processed through the recruiting station, and enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps on September 18, 1968. As a member of Platoon 3039 in Parris Island, he graduated from boot camp on December 10, 1968.

Bullock arrived in Vietnam on May 18, 1969 and was assigned as a rifleman in 2nd Squad, 2nd Platoon, Fox Company, 2nd Battalion, 5th Marines, 1st Marine Division. He was stationed at An Hoa Combat Base in Quang Nam Province.

He was killed instantly by small arms fire on June 7, 1969, during a North Vietnamese Army night attack while making an ammunition run to resupply his beleaguered unit. He was 15 years old

The subject was the right of a sovereign nation to defend itself from a country run by radical Islamic fundamentalists that may soon possess nuclear weapons and has vowed to use them against its sworn enemy in order to eliminate it from the face of the earth.

President Obama knows that every public statement he makes is recorded and lives forever on the internet. That is cause for serious worry. The best campaign ad to run against Obama is one that uses his own words -- and those of the officials he has empowered -- against him. When it comes to high gasoline prices, this is a target-rich environment.

In an interview with Fareed Zakaria for this week’s Time cover story, the president is maddeningly naïve.

Now we know. After three years in office and the launching of his second election campaign, we have experienced President Obama's leadership. We can see whom we elected president -- the mystery man of 2008 revealed.

No man is born a murderer, or evil or cruel. In America, no man is born a king or a tyrant. Just as a man must learn to be a killer, men must teach themselves to be tyrants. Barack Obama has learned how to be a tyrant.

In its classic forms, American exceptionalism refers to the special character of the United States as a uniquely free nation based on democratic ideals and personal liberty. Sometimes this special character is inferred from the nature of American political institutions founded in the 1776-89 period–the declaration of independence (1776), revolution (1776-83), constitution (1787) etc. Thus the “revolution” and its aftermath freeing the US from British control are important in ideas of American exceptionalism. But often the political differences are said to be underpinned by material differences brought about by the wealth/resources of the United States, sometimes seen as a direct product of the freedom of the American people, but by others as the product of the inheritance of the North American continent’s abundant resources. This is the frontier version of the theory, and this and the ideas of social mobility and immigrant assimilation are closely tied to this set of ideas of American material prosperity. Many aspects of American history may be left out or distorted in the traditional narratives–particularly the histories of Amerindian peoples and the contribution of other ethnic groups that preceded the Anglo-Americans, e.g. Hispanics. Race and slavery are seen as tragic exceptions, and the abolition of the latter was viewed as a partial resolution, encompassed in Lincoln’s idea of a “new birth of freedom” in the Gettysburg Address.

Much has been written about the Democrat plantation. On this Democrat plantation, it is said that today's American blacks are slaves to the Democratic Party, much as their ancestors were slaves to their antebellum plantation masters. Then, as now, they were given scraps compared to their masters. Then, as now, running away or any disobedience by an individual was severely punished. Conservatives who have any exposure to "conservative" media are quick to point this out. What they fail to realize is that they, too, are on a plantation.

What would you do if Obama declares Martial Law in order to stop the 2012 elections? It has been tossed about quite a bit by many people that Obama will find an excuse to declare Martial Law to prevent the 2012 elections from happening. There are many executive orders that a president can enact during Martial Law, basically, controlling everything under the sun in America from food, water, voting, farming, elections, electricity, etc. There is an extensive list that gives the POTUS power to control almost everything. So much power it actually includes everything in one way or another. This, as many agree on, is the only way Obama can retain power as "president". What say you?

ON THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL, PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE BARACK OBAMA WARNED ABOUT THE ARROGATION OF POWER IN THE EXECUTIVE branch: “The biggest problems that we’re facing right now have to do with George Bush trying to bring more and more power into the executive branch and not go through Congress at all. And that’s what I intend to reverse when I’m president of the United States.”1 When he did become president, however, he did just the opposite. He took steps to centralize power in the executive branch that George W. Bush would never have dreamed of taking. Working at a furious pace, he appointed an unprecedented proliferation of officials—known popularly as “czars”—with a huge array of responsibilities over immense swaths of domestic and foreign policy. These appointments bypassed the legislative branch altogether, for while conventional Cabinet appointments required the approval and oversight of Congress, these czars were accountable to no one except Barack Hussein Obama.

The mask is fully off. Barack Obama is the most corrupt, power-mad president in this nation's illustrious history. By his actions in bypassing Congress and making appointments that should be subject to Senate approval while the Senate is still in session and innumerable extra-constitutional actions since he became president, he is following in the footsteps of the despots who dominated the 20th century.

Obama recently signed a mysterious new law that proclaims all American soil is a "battleground," thereby allowing the president to indefinitely detain any American citizen without charges. Critics fear Obama will use his fun new unconstitutional powers to make his political enemies disappear, but that may not be necessary. The way things are going, most patriotic Americans will soon be six feet under, felled by apoplectic strokes brought on by reading the latest outrage committed by our "Commander in Chief." He may not have a limit to what he'll inflict; but our collective blood pressure may have a limit to what we can bear.

In talking about his plans to double the size of the Peace Corps and nearly quadruple the size of AmeriCorps and the size of the nation’s military services, he made this rather shocking (and chilling) pledge: “We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.”

Now, since I’ve never heard anyone inside or out of government use the phrase “civilian national security force” before, I was more than a little curious about what he has in mind.

Is it possible I am the only journalist in America who sought clarification on this campaign promise? What does it mean?

Barack Obama's manifold failures over the last three years have left him in a political tough spot as we enter 2012. He will have a challenging time running on a record that has resulted in massive unemployment, stagnant income growth, a record number of people on food stamps, and a gargantuan level of debt that Americans will be paying off for decades after Obama has retired to the golf courses of Hawaii. As was clear from his recent speech calling forth the spirit of Teddy Roosevelt, he will campaign on the idea that he will bring "fairness" to struggling Americans.

For those Americans who were still unsure whether Barack Obama really does lack authenticity, the President has finally come clean and confirmed that he does indeed have a tendency to lie. Prior to Christmas, courtesy of Barbara Walters and the ABC News program 20/20, President Obama presented the nation with an important pre-2012 election gift. Answering questions from the probing "Proust Questionnaire," the President admitted that in addition to how he views the rest of America, he too is "a little bit lazy," and on occasion exhibits a predisposition to fudge the truth.

people who live in (what we call) poverty in America are fairly well off, compared to the poor in other countries. Second, decades of government intervention has only made the problem worse. Trillions of tax dollars have been spent fighting poverty, but instead of encouraging people to get jobs and get themselves out of a financial rut, the welfare system creates conditions favorable to pregnancy, childbirth and illegitimacy. The "safety net" has become a hammock for the laziest people in our society.

One of the greatest gifts that America has given to the world is the idea that the leader of a nation should be chosen freely by its people. Well, perhaps the notion did not originate in America, but the Yanks certainly showed the world how to do it. More spectacularly and more originally, the United States pioneered the following novel concept: when the favor of the people transfers from one faction (as Madison called them) or party to another, then the defeated incumbent gracefully steps aside as his victorious opponent peacefully and lawfully takes his place as the new leader. Indeed, the peaceful transfer of power from the Federalists (Adams) to the Democratic-Republicans (Jefferson) in 1801 must be regarded as one of the most momentous advances in the history of human freedom.

An old adage reads, "If it quacks like a duck, then it's probably a duck." The push by the Obama Administration to progressively strip Americans of basic liberties in the pursuit of political objectives has now taken on more draconian overtones, and no one seems to have noticed.

On December 6, 2011, President Barack Obama made a speech in Osawatomie, Kansas. In the speech he said some things that could be considered a stretch, and told some out and out whoppers. For you Obama Kool-Aid drinkers, let's examine some of the things he said.

n an interview with KOAA-TV, a local news channel from Colorado Springs, Colorado, President Obama says if Congress is not willing to pass legislation he wants, he will do it himself in order to win another term. Read the transcript below.

Rob Quirk, KOAA-TV: "And one year from today we will know if this a one-term or two-term president. So, I asked the president what will it take from now until then to not only win Colorado again, but reelection as well."

President Obama: "Well, what we're going to have to do is continue to make progress on the economy over the next several months. And where Congress is not willing to act, we're going to go ahead and do it ourselves. But it would be nice if we could get a little bit of help from Capitol Hill."

The burning question for most Americans since the 2008 election has been, what is the "change" -- that candidate Barack Obama promised us -- going to look like?

I was suspicious when I heard Mr. Obama say that he wanted to fundamentally change America because I think we have great fundamentals like, life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, equality, a free enterprise system, a constitution that allows us to right our wrongs, etc. I never thought we needed fundamental change anywhere but in Washington, D.C.

More and more, Americans seem apathetic toward the liberties o'er which our Founding Fathers sacrificed their lives, fortunes, and sacred honor. We seem to hold a low opinion of that which millions of Americans before us not only treasured, but paid the ultimate price to protect. This is especially apparent when we focus on the First Amendment, and particularly the first liberty protected by that amendment.

Just 23 percent of those surveyed for a Bloomberg News poll released Wednesday say they are hopeful about the economy because they see signs of improvement, while 25 percent say they are fearful things are getting worse and 51 percent are cautious because nothing seems to be happening.
