Matthew 5:17-20

The law was given to the Israelites as a gift from God of Him describing how they could follow Him in daily life. The scribes and pharisees turned God's gift into the practice of religion, so that they themselves would be worshipped rather than God. This week's message explains how Jesus rebukes religion to get the people's worship and trust back toward God.
