When we speak or act, people notice. If we make a strong impression, they might even copy us! Most of us don’t like to think others are watching. Yet, whether we know it or not, there’s almost always someone paying attention to what we do or don’t do! It may be a child, a sibling, a friend…even a stranger. It could be anyone. And why are they watching? Because they want to see how we handle life’s challenges. And they’re hoping we’ve got answers. Like it or not, we are role models, especially if we are on a spiritual path. When others know we have lofty ideals and high aspirations, they want to see how we put them into action. If we say one thing and do another, we may not only disappoint them, we might actually cause them to turn away from the path that could ultimately save their souls. That’s not the kind of karma we want to make! So when we take action, assume we’ve got an audience, and give them something good to remember. For more, tune in to The OPEN DOOR this Tuesday.
