One of the keys to winning our ascension is to understand the nature of enlightened self-interest. For all of us who desire to make our ascension (and we hope that is your goal!), self-interest may seem out of place, often appearing selfish. Yet, to ignore our own best interests is to ignore the best and highest good for our souls. To complete our climb to the summit of Being, we must guard our light daily! It takes constant focus and effort to keep our light secure…and growing! Earth is not an easy schoolroom and temptations abound. And sometimes, to keep our souls pointed in the right direction, we must do things that might seem selfish and self-centered. Like saying ‘No’ to joining in certain human pursuits and fleeting pleasures. Truth is, pursuing God will probably not win you a popularity contest….but it may well win your ascension.
