Friendship might not come in a supplement bottle, but we’d argue it’s one of the most important forms of medicine we have. So this week, we’re doing something a little different.
We’re talking about friendship - how our experiences of it have shaped us, why making and keeping friends can feel VERY different as an adult, what happens when you outgrow a friendship, and why sometimes losing a friend can hurt every bit as much as a romantic breakup.
We also share some very personal stories from our own friendship histories — from moving 22 times and never quite feeling like you belonged anywhere, to lifelong friendships, spectacularly painful friendship breakups, misunderstandings, vulnerability, learning to let people really know you… and the slightly terrifying act of making new friends as a grown-up.
