If we want to know anything about ourselves or what God intends for our most important relationships, we have to begin by understanding the God who created humanity in his own image. Our understanding of who we are intended to be as people, and how he intended us to relate to one another, begins with a God who is himself three distinct and eternal persons, so united that they can only be rightly seen as one.

Marriage is an exclusive, one-flesh relationship in which each spouse seeks to put their partners needs ahead of their own.
