The Master Teacher, Jesus the Son of God, moves His Sermon on the Mount into action in our lives. In the Beatitudes (5:3-12) He told us what we are to be in our hearts and souls by the grace of God for a “blessed” life. “Poor in spirit…Mourning over sin...Meek and Humble…Hungering after Righteousness…Merciful…Pure in Heart…Peacemakers…Persecuted for Righteousness sake.” With these qualities abiding in your life, now, He tells us what we are to do. We are now ready to be used by God and to be a “blessing” to the world. Yes, in Christ, we are “blessed in order to become a blessing.”
