The setting of Revelation 7 is “the great Tribulation”. (Revelation 7:14) The last seven years of the Old Testament story of Israel unfolds as the King and the Kingdom approach. (Revelation 11:15, 19:11-16) The Church is in Heaven. Now Israel and the 144,000 sealed Jewish evangelists are the proclaimers of the Gospel of Christ in the place of the Church. In this time of “tribulation” (intense pressure, judgment on a Christ-rejecting earth) God is still at working offering His grace and saving souls!
