In this week’s sermon, pastor Donnie Smith continues our study of the book of Genesis with our series on Jacob. This theme is designed to encourage our church body to submit to God. God is worthy of our trust, which means that we must submit to Him even when we do not completely understand. We submit to God by putting our faith in Him, understanding Him, following Him, and fearing Him. The sermon series of this theme center around Isaac and Jacob, who through their relationships with God both show successes and failures in how they trust in Him. We look to these stories to be inspired and to ask God to develop a model for how we should submit to Him in our own lives.
