Among all the musical talents that have passed away in 2016, so far, these are the two biggest. One, shortly after releasing his latest album, and the other shortly after starting a surprise solo tour. Between them, there is a legacy of about 70 albums, 39 major award wins, millions of records soul, and being celebrated within the same 38 year period (David has an extra 10 years) like few others have. I decided to try not to go typical with the cliched tribute music (no Purple Rain or Ziggy Stardust here), but explore more of their influences and who they influenced....
