Projects are hard. Well, for me, at least. I need an incentive, a deadline, a reason to push myself before I can convince my mind that it needs to do more than flit through half-finished idea after half-finished idea. I’ve blogged before. I’ve had three blogs now, I think. One of them was even moderately successful. I had actual readers, people who seemed at least vaguely interested in what I had to say. That was weird.I got very busy very quickly, though, and I let it go, just as I’ve let them all go. I’m starting over now. I’m starting over here. I’m going to try to write regularly, or at least semi-regularly. I also intend to start a podcast. It’s easy to fall into the trap that is school and let everything else go by the wayside. Yes, education is important, but one ought to try to do other things as well, yes? This is my attempt to actually keep a project afloat. This is a space for a lot of things. I write sporadically, and I’d like to try to assemble and edit a few of my stories and essays into something coherent, so my podcast will be a mix of those. Some are fun, some are weird, and some are just plain absurd. I hope you enjoy them. In between, I intend to blog. I’m obsessed with pop culture, and this space will serve as my outlet, a place to ramble about music, movies, television, and whatever else I happen across. There is a chance I might get behind here. Life does get busy, does it not? If so, I apologize in advance, but know that I do intend to be back. It’s time to get things rolling again. This is going to be fun. -Ian Moore
