Patriots insider Greg A. Bedard from Boston Sports Journal joined the show. Greg said there isn’t enough time to describe what is wrong with the Patriots offense. He said it’s clear to people that the offense is being coached by guys that don’t know what they’re doing in that position. Greg said there is a lot of heat on Bill Belichick after just one regular season example of how bad the offense looks. He said it’s important to make Mac Jones comfortable in the offense on Sunday, but he isn’t holding out much hope against the Steelers defense, even with the absence of TJ Watt. Greg isn’t sure who the big-time play maker is in the offense, but he does like the combo at running back. Greg said the defense is still a solid unit that will have to keep the Patriots in a lot of games. He expects Chase Claypool to be the main player Belichick tries to make a non-factor on Sunday.
