93.7 The Fan Sports Director Jeff Hathhorn joined the show. Jeff said Kwon Alexander adds to the group of physical players the Steelers have added this off-season. He isn’t sure if the Steelers are questioning one of their inside linebacker additions and if that’s why they signed Alexander. Jeff doesn’t think Mark Robinson is ready to be a starter yet, but it doesn’t mean he is a lost cause. Jeff said Broderick Jones looks far more comfortable already in camp than he did in the minicamp back in the spring, but said he still has to prove he is worthy of being the starting left tackle. Jeff talked about some juggling that has gone on early in camp which is why things might look a little bit funny in team drills. Jeff gives Kenny Pickett a B for his work so far in training camp. Jeff talked about where guys like Allen Robinson and Pat Freiermuth find their lanes in the offense. Jeff commented on the article that was published about George Pickens and what his expectations are for the season.
