Former Pirate Jordy Mercer joined the show. Jordy talked about the excitement surrounding Oneil Cruz and how he will fit into the Pirates system. He said there are benefits to Cruz’s size, but he will see a challenge on the defensive side. Jordy said Cruz will let his play show. He talked about Jack Suwinksi and how he is a player that pretty much came out of nowhere to be a key player. He gave his memories of Jose Tabata breaking up the Max Scherzer perfect game.
