Pirates insider Jason Mackey joined the show. Jason said the team has definitely become more interesting over the last few days because of the emergence of two new young players to the equation. Not only has Oneil Cruz played well, but Bligh Madris hit his first big league home run last night after 3 hits in his debut. Jason said there hasn’t been a player with an awe factor like Cruz in a very long time. Jason thinks the Pirates will take the training wheels off so the fans can keep seeing Cruz. He said the players are all-in on Cruz as much as the fans. Jason picked who out of the young players will have the best MLB career – Oneil Cruz. He expects Nick Gonzales to also have a good pro career. Jason still projects Cruz to be a corner outfielder eventually.
