It is a Steelers game week. There were some updates from Steelers practice, including more impressive stuff from George Pickens. Poni posed a big quarterback question – should the Steelers sign Jimmy Garoppolo if the 49ers release him this week? Chris said no after some thinking. Poni believes he’s way too injury prone to be the answer. Jimmy G can get the team to the playoffs, but how much further can he really take the team? Mason Rudolph met with the media – mentioning how much different the playbook seems with a certain QB no longer on the team. Poni doesn’t believe Matt Canada was held back by Ben Roethlisberger. Chris does.

Former Steeler Rocky Bleier joined the show. Rocky said his postgame Steelers analysis will be back this season on social media. Rocky wants to see who will rise to the occasion in the Steelers QB battle. He said it’s a tough job for a rookie to jump right in, like Kenny Pickett would be doing. He said Pickett is the undisputed fan favorite of the QBs and Mason Rudolph seemingly has none left. He said it doesn’t matter and he doesn’t care who starts if the offensive line doesn’t see any improvement from last season. Rocky was disappointed when he went to a practice in shorts last week so he left. Rocky talked about what his camps were like back in the 70’s compared to today. Rocky said he can do a live reaction with the guys after a bad game this year, if it presents itself.
