Pitt HOFer and NFL HOFer Jimbo Covert joined the show. Jimbo gave his thoughts on the Backyard Brawl victory. He said it’ll take some time for the defensive line for Pitt to settle in and that could explain how the Panthers got gashed against the run last night. He credited the fan bases and said he wants more big rivalry games year after year because fans always show out for them. Jimbo likes college football moving to 12-team playoff in the future because it keeps more teams in it for longer. He said it would also create fewer cases of guys feeling the need of sitting out bowl games because more programs will be in the national title picture. Jimbo was happy with the performance of Kedon Slovis and liked how settled down he seemed late in the game. The guys asked Jimbo about Tennessee, who Pitt has next Saturday.
