In today’s second hour, Dom welcomes in Robin Shaffer, a Protect Our Coast volunteer who spoke alongside Congressman Jeff Van Drew this week in effort to raise awareness of the repeated whale and dolphin deaths along the Jersey Shore. Shaffer takes Giordano to the shore, providing an on-the-scene look at how both visitors and those who live at the shore have been reacting to the horrific image of beached whales and dolphins. Then, Dom and Shaffer get into the silence effused by environmental groups over the issue after multiple controversies in the past, with both suggesting something nefarious may be at play leading to their silence. Also, Shaffer tells listeners what the wind turbines may look like from the shore, and expresses the deep economic impact the new energy producers will have on the Jersey Shore region.
Then, Dom returns to national politics, discussing Biden’s fall and Trump’s town hall, before welcoming in media critic Scott Cronick to hear what’s worth watching on television over the weekend. Cronick tells Dom that this past week was rife with both season and series finales, offering his opinion on the finales of Succession, Barry, and Ted Lasso. Also, Cronick tells how he’s found himself back in love with Survivor, and offers up a couple other TV shows worth checking out. (Photo by Getty Images)
